Sound Psychology Ballarat
B.SW M.Soc Sci(Couple Counseling) AASW
Eitan has a Masters degree in couple counselling and is a qualified mental health social worker. He has over 29 years counselling experience, having worked as a rural mental health social worker in Mount Isa, as a grief counsellor and for SIDS and Kids in Ballarat, and in counselling roles for Queensland Rail and the Department of Veterans Affairs to name a few. Eitan works from a systemic, holistic approach and draws from diverse modalities such as psycho-dynamic and existential therapy.
Eitan's path to therapy was not linear. In Israel, he worked as a technical operator at the Dead Sea Works, as a drummer for a range of bands in Brisbane and as a paratrooper in the Israeli army. Eitan is an avid kendo and iaido practitioner and an audiophile. He emigrated to Australia in the early 1990s, at which time he struggled to find direction in his life. This broad life experience enables him to relate well to diverse client bases. Eitan's upbringing provided him opportunities to grow alongside people from all walks of life, fostering a natural connection with clients.
Eitan's book, "The Mountain, the Forest and the Deep Blue Sea" was written hoping to inspire others through sharing some of his history. (The book can be purchased through Sound Psychology Ballarat.)
Overall, Eitan believes in helping clients to achieve their potential.
